Principal's Message to Parents 7th January 2022
Principal’s message to parents – 7 January 2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
Its been a good return to school for most of us this week. Only a little snow so lots of outdoor opportunities to blow away the cobwebs of a quiet Christmas break.
As from this week we have an addition to our school website. ‘A year at Dawn House School- in photos’ You will see the same scene across our school field as we move through the seasons. This will be updated frequently so please do have a look and see how our day looks in Rainworth!
I’d like to invite you to have a virtual coffee with me on Wednesday 26th January between 5-6pm. These sessions have been great just to keep in touch about all sorts of things while time coming into school is still limited. This time I have invited David Ellis our new digital lead (and IT teacher) to come and share information about keeping our children safe on line. Our children’s use of IT is ever increasing and there are many risks and dangers as well as the many benefits, so this is a great opportunity for all of us to learn more. Here is the link to the meeting:

Attached to this parentmail is our mobile phone policy as a reminder to everyone about our policy. Please read and remind your children that they must hand in devices at the beginning of each day. This is in order to keep everybody safe and focussed.
Thank you all for your support and contributions to the Christmas events last term and for your very generous gifts from our Amazon Wishlist. I will be able to give you a grand total of money raised next week and will share some thoughts about what ‘extras’ we will be buying in school.
I think that’s all for this week. Thank you all for keeping us up to date on the covid reporting email.
