π§ͺπ¬ STEM-tacular Showdown: House Event Ignites Sparks! ππ§
New Teams. New Format. Same Fierce Fun!

On Wednesday 21st May, our school was buzzing with brainpower and bursting with excitement as pupils across all years took part in our latest House Event, this time themed around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
This event marked a significant milestone as it was the first with our brand-new format: eight house teams, with the Dragons and Scorpians making their debut alongside the original six.
The event was packed with hands-on challenges and mind-bending puzzles, designed to inspire curiosity and teamwork. Activities included:
- Chemical Reactions in Action – where pupils witnessed explosive experiments and the magic of mixing matter.
- Build a Bridge Challenge – testing design skills and structural strength under pressure.
- Math Puzzles and Escape Rooms – pushing logical thinking and collaboration to the limit.
- The Science of Flying – where the laws of physics lifted students’ imaginations sky-high.
- Marble Run Engineering – encouraging creative problem-solving through gravity-powered designs.
- Rocket Building – launching learning (and paper rockets) into orbit!
- Heart Rate and Exercise – combining biology and fitness in an energising scientific exploration.
Pupils competed, collaborated, and celebrated science in all its forms. From designing marble mazes to launching rockets, every activity highlighted the power of teamwork, innovation, and critical thinking.
A huge well done to all participants!
