📝 Building the Dawn House Way: Pupils Lead the Charter for Change

On Thursday 22nd May, members of the Pupil Leadership Group met with Mrs Burke to begin shaping something very important – the Dawn House School Behaviour Charter.

This exciting initiative marks a new chapter in our school’s journey, as pupils and staff work together to define clear, shared expectations for what it means to be a Dawn House School pupil.

The behaviour charter will reflect the voices of our school community, ensuring it is fair, respectful, and meaningful to everyone. With pupils leading the way, this collaborative approach guarantees that the charter isn’t something handed down – it’s something built with and by the people it represents.

Once completed, the charter will be launched in September, with all pupils revisiting it each half-term to reflect on our shared expectations and to keep our school culture strong and positive.

A big thank you to our Pupil Leadership Group for taking the first steps in creating a guide that will help every member of our school feel safe, respected, and ready to thrive.
