Alfie’s Karate Journey: From Silver Medal to England Squad!

We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news about one of our students, Alfie, who is making fantastic progress in his karate journey.

Over the weekend, Alfie competed at the IMAC Open in York, where he spent an intense 13 hours taking part in the event. His dedication and determination paid off as he proudly came away with a silver medal! 🥈

Alfie’s success doesn’t stop there. He has recently been selected to join the WKO England Squad and will be representing the country at the World Championships later this October. In preparation, he will begin training sessions in Rotherham over the coming months.

In addition to this, Alfie recently passed his brown belt grading (2 stripes) and will be receiving his new belt at an upcoming presentation. He is now working towards achieving his black belt, which includes developing leadership skills such as teaching lessons, leading warm-ups, and creating lesson plans. Last week, Alfie successfully led a class and delivered clear, confident instructions – a fantastic step towards his next goal.

Well done, Alfie – we are all cheering you on! 👏🥋
