Pupils hit the slopes today for their very first ski lesson at Swadlincote Ski Centre – and what a start it was! With smiles all around, everyone got to grips with the basics of skiing, including learning how to travel on skis and, just as importantly, how to stop safely.

In just one hour, they made impressive progress, even mastering the button lift – a big step forward on day one. The session was filled with fun, laughter, and a great sense of achievement as pupils began their five-week skiing journey in preparation for the much-anticipated trip to Samoëns in 2026.
