On Thursday 20th November, our school was delighted to host The Sealed Knot, one of the UK’s leading historical reenactment groups, for a morning of immersive learning and hands-on exploration.

Throughout the visit, each year group took part in an age-appropriate assembly where expert reenactors brought historical events and characters vividly to life. Students were captivated by the stories, demonstrations, and insights shared during these engaging sessions.

After the assemblies, pupils had the opportunity to explore an array of artefacts and replica weaponry, gaining a unique insight into the tools, clothing, and objects used in the past. Many students also enjoyed trying on historical costumes, making for a memorable and interactive experience — and plenty of excellent photo moments!

The visit provided a powerful connection to history, allowing students to engage with the subject in a meaningful and exciting way. We extend our thanks to The Sealed Knot for giving our pupils a truly enriching experience they will remember for a long time.
