Information regarding the weather tomorrow
Thursday 8th January 2026 – in preparation for Friday
We are anticipating school will stay open on Friday 9th January 2026 – despite expected snowfall in the local area and higher ground.
If parents believe the journey for their child is too hazardous or if school closes early, making it difficult to get home safely, parents can make the decision to keep their child home from school.
Please can parents be advised that they are asked to ensure school are updated regarding any absence and that parents contact any taxi service that your child may use so they know your child does not need collecting.
We have been made aware by some local authority transport companies that if a decision is made to close a school early some operators may not be able to accommodate transport at that time. Transport will then be the parents/carers responsibility.
Should the situation change regarding school remaining open updates will be put onto Weduc, Facebook and our School website and parents and taxis will be contacted if arrangements need to be made to collect your child early.
