A Big Thank You

“As I get ready to leave, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Dawn House School and feel very lucky to have been part of such a special community.

It’s been a pleasure getting to know so many wonderful pupils and families, and to see the progress and achievements along the way. I hope that in my time here I’ve been able to make a positive difference and leave the school in a good place to keep moving forward.

I’m not going far – I’ll be just down the road at Fountaindale – so I’d love to stay in touch. Hopefully there will be chances for us to link up, share ideas, and continue working together in different ways.

I’ll really miss everyone, but I’ll be cheering you all on and would love to hear how things continue to go for the pupils.

Football news

Dawn House recently enjoyed a successful football fixture away at Bracken Hill, where pupils showed excellent teamwork and determination to secure a fantastic 7–2 victory. The school also competed in the regional table cricket finals, finishing an impressive third place out of eight schools and narrowly missing out on a trip to Lord’s for the national finals. All pupils worked incredibly well together throughout the competition, demonstrating great effort and sportsmanship. On another day the result could easily have gone our way, but we are already looking forward to returning next year and aiming to qualify for the national finals. ⚽🏏

Dawn House put in a brilliant performance in their football match against Beech Academy, showing real intensity from start to finish. The team worked incredibly well together, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, determination, and commitment throughout the game. A special mention goes to JJ, who put on an outstanding display by scoring all six of Dawn House’s goals. After an exciting 6–6 draw, the team kept their composure in a tense penalty shootout and came out victorious. A great effort from everyone involved!

A Huge THANK YOU

A big thank you to you all from Emma, our residential activities coordinator, who’s little boy is currently undergoing hospital treatment.

They took the eggs to Fairview Farm last night to store until next week and we had collected 66 eggs, plus books and crafts all from you guys! Your generosity and kindness has been amazing, and it really does make such a difference.

This means so much to Emma and she can’t thank you enough for your support.

We will post a photo of the eggs being delivered to the ward during the holiday so you can see the difference you’ve helped make.

We wish Emma and her family all the very best, your support of one of our school community has been remarkable.
