At Dawn House School we know our students value being accepted as part of the school community, so we strongly encourage them to wear the school uniform as closely as possible. Our standard school uniform is generally available in many shops and supermarkets and follows the guidelines below.

Plain blue or white blouse or shirt (long or short sleeves) or school polo shirt with Dawn House School logo
Plain navy sweat shirt, navy jumper or cardigan or school sweatshirt with Dawn House School logo

Black school shoes (not trainers)
Pupils may wear school uniform type shorts in the summer term
Outdoor waterproof coat for breaks and outdoor learning
Plain sports shorts – navy
Plain T shirt – white
Clean plimsolls or trainers with for indoors
Trainers for outdoor wear
Jogging bottoms or suitable PE wear for outdoor sports
One piece swimming costume or swimming trunks/shorts
Pupils in 6th form may wear smart/casual clothing but the expectation, as role models for younger pupils means that clothing such as tracksuits, revealing, tight or ripped clothing, tops with inappropriate logos/pictures or football shirts etc. are not acceptable. Pupils should seek guidance from the Head of 6th Form if unsure.
Work experience/college interviews require smart formal clothing.
At various times when pupils are undertaking specific courses personal and protective workwear would be required, such as chefs' whites, boiler suits, steel toe-capped footwear.
Parents/carers are able to purchase polo shirts and sweatshirts which are embroidered with the Dawn House School logo directly from school.
