Singing Hands Bring Joy, Music, and Makaton to Our School

Today, we were absolutely thrilled to welcome Singing Hands to our school for a truly unforgettable day of music, movement, and Makaton signing.

For those who don’t know, Singing Hands are a nationally loved duo who use music, singing, and Makaton signing to make communication fun and accessible for all. They have inspired thousands of children across the country with their inclusive, engaging approach – and today, they brought that same magic right into our classrooms.

In the morning, our Lower School pupils enjoyed interactive sessions filled with familiar songs, energetic signing, and lots of smiling faces. Pupils were clapping, dancing, and signing along with huge enthusiasm – it was a real celebration of creativity and inclusion.

In the afternoon, a group of selected pupils joined a special follow-up session, diving even deeper into musical expression through signing. Their confidence and participation were incredible to witness!

A huge thank you to Mrs Parker for organising this fantastic experience. Days like this remind us of the power of music and the importance of inclusive communication.
