What a wet and soggy Friday! But it’s been very colourful and lively here at Dawn House School today as we have celebrated Black History month combined with Children in Need! Thank goodness we decided against a Winter Sports Day today!

Children have been food tasting, banging drums and learning about different cultures. Do take some time to ask your children about what they have done today and their highlights and keep a look out for photos on the website and Facebook page!

We have some Christmas requests for you today.

• Firstly, for those of you who might be able to offer us some time, we would love to invite you for coffee and cakes on Friday 28th November from 12.30 – 2pm to help us get ready for the Christmas event on Saturday. Please contact me directly if you are able to help.
• Christmas Fair Donation Request – Saturday 29th November

Our much-loved Christmas Fair is just around the corner, and we’re busy preparing for a wonderful festive day on Saturday 29th November! To make the event a great success, we’re asking for your kind donations to help stock our stalls and raffles.

We would be very grateful for any contributions of the following:

Raffle Prizes – Vouchers, hampers, gift sets, toys, or any special items.

Bottles – Wine, fizz, or any bottled goodies for our bottle tombola.
Tombola Prizes – Small gifts, toiletries, sweets, or toys.
Silent Auction Items – High-end or unique donations such as event tickets, experiences, services, or luxury items.
Christmas Jumpers & Gifts – New or nearly new jumpers and small festive gifts.

All donations can be dropped off at the school office by Wednesday 26th November.

Your generosity helps us create a fun, festive event for our community and raises valuable funds for the school. Thank you so much for your continued support – we couldn’t do it without you!

• Christmas Raffle ticketswill be coming home with children today- please sell far and wide, to friends and family. All monies raised for the raffle and the Christmas fair will go to our MINIBUS FUND!!! So we need to sell, sell, sell!!! We are sending home one book per child- I’m sure you will want more so please ask your child’s form tutor, the school office or me!
