Spring 2 Pupil Leadership Meeting

Listening, reflecting, and shaping our school together

March 19, 2026

Today we came together for our Spring 2 Pupil Leadership Group meeting, and as always, it was a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from our pupils. It was a great meeting with lots of thoughtful discussion, honest feedback, and some brilliant ideas shared.

Our pupils continue to play a key role in shaping the school, and their voices are central to driving improvements. Following today’s meeting, a number of actions have been identified and will now be taken forward for discussion and review with the Senior Leadership Group (SLG).

Key Actions from the Meeting

World Book Day Development
Pupils shared ideas around making World Book Day more student-led, including giving pupils the opportunity to vote on activities.

Rewards System (Arbor vs ePraise)
Feedback will be shared with SLG highlighting a clear pupil preference for ePraise over Arbor.

Assembly Experience
Positive feedback will be shared around improvements to sound, visibility, and organisation in assembly.
An issue with a flickering light will also be raised for follow-up.

Environment and Sustainability
Discussions with SLG will explore:

  • Increasing the number of bins, especially in outdoor areas and around the football pitch
  • Introducing more recycling facilities
  • Developing an eco-garden within the school grounds

School Uniform Review
Further discussions will take place around offering greater flexibility in uniform, including:

  • Optional blazers and ties
  • Increased use of PE kit or more comfortable options
  • Introducing a school hoodie
  • Considering a business casual option
