Enough Words

We love to receive feedback from parents about what it is that the school does best! We received this email from a parent:

Today I asked my child how his day was and he went on to tell me:

I was playing on the climbing frame in the playground, I put my leg in the hole and I almost fell down. So I hurt my leg.

You can see that he meant that he surely fell down but instead he said almost. This is the most descriptive sentence I have ever got out of him when asked how was your day.

Thank you all ever so much for bringing his speech and understanding of language to this level. So proud of him and I do not have enough words to thank you at this moment.

The Motor Vehicle Mechanic's group have been busy doing some wheel and tyre testing. This included raising and lowering the vehicle safely, removing the wheel and inspecting the tyres for tread, damage and pressure.

European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages was on 26th September 2021. Did you know that there are about 225 indigenous languages in Europe - roughly 3% of the world's total?

There will be an assembly about it today, a group discussion in PHSE and everyone at Dawn House is being encouraged to find someone in school who speaks another language and learn a few words.

Name the Rabbits Competition

We have recently received our 3rd rabbit which is a male. The competition is now up and running for all students to have a go at naming all the rabbits if they wish to do so. The competition ends on the 1st of October with the names being revealed on the 4th of October.
